What Mountains?

So I was in Calgary for the last 4 days and just got home last night.
The weekend was called 'LEGACY' and it was a youth weekend in which I was enrolled as a sponser. Due to the lack of planning time, only 4 of us went. None of them being actual kids from the youth. It's really wierd not being a kid now. Yeeeesh.

Chris Knutson, Jason Ficher, Debbie Fraser and myself all took off on a journey of monumental proportions. The whole weekend was either mostly overcast, snowing, or foggy, and therefore we never even caught a glimpse of the mountains that I had seen this last November when I was there last.

On the plus side, it was not really really cold.... just plain cold, and that wasn't so bad. There was a fair amount of sunshine though we still never saw any mountains, and oh yes! We discovered donut heaven. Krispy Kreme.......mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......... no donut concived deserves more recognition.........wow............

Also we learned to stop swearing with the conceptual words that most kids use.... mainly crap. Instead we have developed the word 'Rasin' as the new word. It was great fun to say the least to say rasin instead of the norm of most mouths.

Along the journey we also realized the importance of watching for OneWay signs........ and we also realized that Calgarian Citizens are very courteous and will honk to warn you as you pull onto the one way streets backwards.
We also learned what most of Calgary looks like as we racked up over 200km travel in Calgary in appoximately 2.5 days.
What else....hmm.....Oh, and we realized the best way to get the most view out of a simple trip through the city is to take several wrong turns.... which we were delighted to do, even as we were leaving.... in which, it brought us back into the city again.... that was entertaining ^_^

We learned about Grace this weekend... the reason it is given vertically, and we need to distribute it horizontally. It was an amazing weekend that gave us a large amount to talk about.
At the end of the conference, we were able to find Yo, my buddy Tim, only to the 'grace' of God. We were delighted to bring him back with us, and so he is with his family right now, house shopping. It was a great trip and we travelled through a lot of snow and ice on the way home...... mmm... love the snow :)

Have a great day.

Three60Five...the PROBE

Well, i'm here at Nipawin Bible Institute.... (NBI) at a youth retreat called Three60Five....or as it used to be known as.... Probe. It's been starting to get a lot more fun in these last few minutes being that the games and events will be picking up the pace now. Toilet Gokarts, and inflatible games, and lazertag are making for a lot of fun. I have already spilt mustard on my pants, and that's been really fun:) Hmmm..... I dont' know what else to say yet except that I have been feeling very sick, tired and my nose is running.... but meh,..... what can you do? Have a great day everyone!!! Farewell until.. well until I remember to update this again..
